Vladswim Challenge
Swimmers start at Chinamans Beach and swim around Balmoral's iconic inflatable Santa buoy. The 10km race sees swimmers do four laps of this course. The water temperature is between 19 and 20 degrees, with easy surf conditions in the harbour and a relaxed festive atmosphere.
The event offers a 2.5km and 5km open water swim and a 10km marathon swim. Initially created as a qualifier for the Rottnest Challenge, the swim has become an end-of-year must for Sydney ocean swimmers.
